M’belle: Members of St. Thomas II ward celebrated ward feast

Moodubelle, 09 July 2011: St. Lawrence Church Parishioners of St. Thomas II Ward celebrated their ward feast on Sunday 03rd July 2011 noon. Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes – Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Denis Castelino, Alphonse Alva – Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council and Sr. Iline, joined the Gurkar and members of the ward in the celebration.

 

Janet Castelino read the annual report. Entertainment games were conducted. Nancy Alva read out the names of the winners of the games, who received fabulous prizes from Fr. Joswey Fernandes. In his speech Fr. Joswey Fernandes conveyed best wishes to all the members of the ward.

 

 

Rev. Fr. Denis Castelino spoke on the occasion and expressed his experiences. Alphonse Alva conveyed the message on the significance of the ward feast. Ward members who are celebrating birthday in the month of July; Evline Monis, Praveen, Reshma, Laveena, Rita Castelino and Sr. Iline, celebrated the occasion by cutting the cake.

 

Theresa Alva – Gurkarn of the ward welcomed the guests and the gathering. Alex Almeida proposed vote of thanks.
