Kuwait: PWCK celebrates feast of patron St Pius X with family get-together

Kuwait, 27 Jan: Pius Nagar Welfare Committee Kuwait (PWCK) organized its annual parish feast at Avanthi Palace, Salmiyah, here on Friday, January 24.

 

Celebration started at 7:30pm with introduction by compere Sunil Menezes.

 

The prayer was led by Vincent Menezes. Victoria Noronha, president welcomed the chief guests and all the parishioners along with more than 60 gathered guests and well-wishers.

 

Sunil Menezes welcomed the chief guests on stage Fr Dominic Sequeira, parish priest of Salmiya, Kuwait, Remy Fernandes, founder member and former president of PWCK, Richard Menezes, founder mMember and former president of PWCK and Norbert D’Souza, president of Abassiya Konkani Families with flowers.

 

All the sponsors and participants were honored by president and Committee members with flowers.

 

Annual report was read by Wilma Moras, general secretary of PWCK.

 

Fr Dominic Sequeira praised PWCK members’ dedication towards the Pius Nagar parish who kept the committee move on with unity and also thanked Remy Fernandes for his 18 years long service dedicated to PWCK who is leaving Kuwait for good.   

 

The founder member and Ex-president Mr. Remy Fernandes was honored with memento, flower bouquet, shawl and fruit for his dedicated service rendered to PWCK for the last 18 years since its inception. Wilma Menezes read the citation letter.

 

 

As part of entertainment program, beautiful Group dances performed by Sanchia and Slaina, Solo dance by Lisa D’cunha, Alisha Andrade, Group dance by Rashal and Moira. Beautiful Songs by Stenwil Menezes, Vian Moras, Valen Moras and Morvine Quadras (GVOM season-4 winner) and every one enjoyed the songs.

 

Fashion show was conducted by Victoria Noronha, Wilma Moras and Wilma Menezes and participants were: Vian Moras, Sanchia Noronha, Valen Moras, Slaina Norohna, Stenwill Menezes, Lisa D’Cunha, Alisha Andrade, Reshal Quadros and Moira fernandes and every one enjoyed the show.

 

Housie game was conducted by Sunil Menezes and Remy Fernandes. Prizes were distributed to all the winners in different games. Lots of spot prizes were given away during the event.

 

Silvia Lasrado proposed the vote of thanks. The prayer was rendered by Louis D’Costa. Avaniti Palace, Salmiyah provided the delicious food for the evening. DJ Music was played by Roshan Quadros.
