Daiji Dubai to present Konkani play, Mamma Retired Jata to mark 20th anniversary on Apr 26

Dubai, 11 Apr: Daiji Dubai, Konkani Writers Forum in UAE will be celebrating 20th anniversary at Emirates International School auditorium, here on Friday, April 26 at 5.30pm. In the past, it had celebrated 2 events in order to mark their anniversaries at Mangaluru and Udupi. Meastro Events are the event managers of this mega event.
Decennial celebrations of Daiji Dubai are topnotch event much-awaited by expats of Mangaluru origin in UAE.
Daiji Puraskar, will be conferred to renowned Konkani litterateur Vally Vogga Mysuru for his lifetime contributions to Konkani during the event.
Furthermore, Konkani play – Mamma Retired Jata by playwright Ashok Patole in Marathi that had completed over 8,000 shows which was translated into Konkani by Maxim Rodrigues who owns the rights will be staged by the artistes of Daiji Rang Mandir, theater group promoted by Daiji Dubai and directed by Dian D’Souza Mukamar, renowned theater artiste and founder member of Daiji Dubai.
The core committee of Daiji Dubai urges Konkani speaking community to extend their support in whatever form because they have been mentoring Konkani associations of Mangalurean community from across the world in literary, theatrical and entertainment.
