Udupi: Shradhanjali offered to Bajpe Plane crash victims

Udupi, 22 May 2011: Udupi Jilla Nagarika Samithi organized a Shradhanjali program to the victims of Bajpe plane crash of 22nd May last year. In this program all religious leaders, students of various educational Institutions and the relatives of the victims offered emotional Shradhanjali.
In the beginning the religious leaders offered flowers to the pictures of the victims. Later the students sat forming the shape of plane holding the candles in their hands and prayed that such tragedy should not happen again and prayed for the eternal rest of the souls of the victims.
On this occasion the families, relatives and friends of the victims shared their feelings. Mohammed Tagim who was one among the people in the crash site helped in shifting the injured to the hospital, shared his experience of those moments.
On behalf of Paryaya Shiruru Shri, Divan of Mutt Lathavya Acharya, Udupi UBMC Church Parish Preist Rev. Jeevan Prasad, Jamia Masjid Darmaguru Maulana Salman offered Shradhanjali. Deputy Tashildar Shankaranarayana Bhat, Retired Principal P.D. Poojary were also present on the occasion.
Nagarika Samithi President Nagesh Hegde and Chief Secretary Nithyananda Volakadu had organized this program. Social worker Alevoor Nagaraj compeered the program.
