Mangaluru: Team Gemini wins Talentancho Pavs 2k17 Trophy at Cascia parish

Mangaluru, 01 Jul 2017: Talentancho Pavs 2K17, an inter-war talent contest for St Rita’s parishioners, Cascia, here was held at parish hall, recently. It was themed entertainment unlimited.
The programme commenced with a prayer song led by ICYM Cascia parish unit. Cascia parish priest Fr Herald Mascarenhas, presided the programme.
Fr Rupesh Madtha, resident priest of Cascia parish and Mangaluru diocesan YCS director was the chief guest of the occasion.
ICYM Mangaluru diocesan president Elroy Patrick Saldanha Omzoor, general secretary Joel Immanuel Concessao Milagres and treasurer Jaison Pereira, Shirthady were the special invitees present at the dais.
The jury comprised Flora Castelino, Snehith Lobo Vamanjoor, Joel Mascarenhas Milagres, Fr Herald Mascarenhas and Fr Rupesh Madtha.
Frenton Irol D’Souza Cascia welcomed Episcopal city deanery ICYM secretary Joywin Madtha with a bouquet.
Out of 10 wards in the parish, parishioners from 8 wards partaken in the contest with the team names: Virgo, Aquarius, Taurus, Capricorn, Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces and Scorpio. All the teams had executed their talent with their unique performance in different varieties and made this event a grand success. This event was filled with lots of entertainment, one mega bumper draw along with 9 Lucky Draws were conducted and prizes were distributed to the winners by ICYM members.
Talentancho Pavs 2K17, winners trophy was bagged by Team Gemini. Runner up Trophy was bagged by Team Pisces as well both winning teams received cash prizes and Team Aquarius bagged Special Award for maximum number of participants in a team of all age categories.
Cascia parish ICYM secretary Sushma D’Souza thanked everyone for being part of this programme. The entire event was compered by Cascia parish ICYM president Vishma D’Cunha and treasurer Glen Tauroa. The event, Talentancho Pavs 2K17 was concluded with non-stop baila for the entire parishioners.
