Navodaya Mitra Mandali (R) Dendoorkatte Celebrates 8th Annual Day

Moodubelle, 12 March 2011: Navodaya Mitra Mandali (R) Dendoorkatte, celebrated their 8th annual day on Thursday 10th March 2011 at Dendurkatte in a grand manner. The program began in the morning at 08.30 am with the flag hoisting by Ivan Swons, Pastor of Christa Mahima Church, Manipura, which was followed by distribution of sweets by Shankar Pai.

 

The celebrations continued in the evening at 07.30 pm with the stage program. Guests and dignitaries were led to the dais and the program began with the prayers. The program was presided over by Peter Raphail Aranha (Best Teacher National Award Winner)  – Headmaster, Belle Church Higher Primary School Moodubelle.

 

Chief Guests and the dignitaries of the program were Kudi Vasanth Shetty (Best Teacher State Award Winner) - Headmaster, Shree Vishnumurthi High School Kudi, Hasan Shekh Ahamad - President Grama Panchayath Manipura, Ivan Swons – Pastor of Christa Mahima Church Manipura, Joseph Kundar - President Rotary Club Manipura, Ramesh Shetty, Vincent D’Souza – Former President Grama Panchayath Manipura, Gururaj Bhat - Abhyudaya Co Oparetive Bank Manager Udupi, Sakaram Shetty – Hon. President of Navodaya Mitra Mandali, Sathish Shetty – President of Navodaya Mitra Mandali.

 

 

Vasanth  Shetty in his speech said that “Navodaya Mitra Mandali is an important part of the soil. Those who work hard will get the fruit. Today’s generation is more preferring on the external attraction and devotion in God has reduced. It is the right of the parents to worry about their children. Children must respect their parents. Parents must correct their children and guide them into the right path. Youth must work for the development of the society”.

 

Peter Raphail Aranha in his presidential address said that “the Sangha is presenting good programs. These Sangha’s should identify the local talents and groom them. The work we do should be a role model to others and every one must put their efforts to the development of our village”.

 

The program was compeered by Chandrashekar Salyan. Krisnaraj Acharya – Former Hon. President of Yuvaka Mandala welcomed the guests and the gathering. Wilfred Mendonca – Member of Sangha read the report. Prizes were handed over by the guests on the stage. Gururaj Bhat proposed vote of thanks.

 

Entertainment programs were presented by the members of the Sangha. “Badkd Orinda” a Tulu comedy social drama written and acted by Devdas Kapikad was played.  The program was enjoyed by the large audiences.
