Mangluru: Youngsters have ample creativity, needs to enhance - Sivaramakrishnan

Mangaluru, 22 Aug 2015: The department of Computer Science, Applications and Animation of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), here organized daylong state-level workshop on Android Application Development at Eric Mathias Hall on Saturday August 22.
 
The key note speaker for the workshop was Sivaramakrishnan Natarajan Lead, DCX Practice, Infosys Digital Academy, Mysore.
 
Sivaramakrishnan Natarajan inaugurated the workshop here on Saturday at 9.30am.
 
The workshop focused on mobility landscape, patterns and approach of mobile application development.
 
Addressing the gathering, Natarajan spoke about how mobile devices have become an inseparable part and parcel of one’s life. He also stated that mobility is not only restricted to smartphones but also to other technology as well. He further elaborated that mobility is for everyone.


He mentioned that the integral challenge of Computer Applications is to not find the solution but to find the problem and then to find the solution. Android is a great platform for youth to perform wonders.

 


 
The Rector of St Aloysius College, Fr Denzel Lobo SJ, addressed the gathering and encouraged the youth to train themselves in thinking, analyzing and creating. He said that the world can be different only with people who think differently.
 
The Principal of St Aloysius College, Fr Swebert D’Silva SJ, delivered a short message on how the newness one thinks and creates would benefit the entire world through this mobility. He further conveyed that what could be an impossibility can be turned into possibility if we dream and work together.
 
After the key note address an interactive session on Android Application Development and Android Operating system environment was held by Manoj M V, a Ph D scholar in cloud computing lab, NITK, Suratkal, Mangalore and Yajnesh Talapady, a software engineer in Code Craft Technologies Private Ltd, Mangaluru. In the afternoon, hands on experience to develop an Android Test Application, was given to the participants.
 
Veronica Judith Carlo, vice principal of BCA and BA faculty; Ashok M Prasad, Dean of the BCA faculty; Ravindraswami K, HOD of BCA; Naveen Mascarenhas, HOD of Computer Science, convener of the workshop; Premalatha Shetty, co-ordinator of the workshop also present on the occasion.
 
Premalatha Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
