Mumbai: Overwhelming response for Spiritual retreat for women in metro

Mumbai, 07 May 2015: A spiritual retreat for Women with powerful preaching and testimonies held at St Pius Seminary Hall, Goregaon here on Sunday May 3 from 8.30am to 5.00pm. It was themed Come and experience at the women alive…life in abundance…(Jn 10:10)

 

This retreat was led by Anastasia Rebello, Luz Maria Engineer, Maria Sageetha (Divine Retreat Centre).

 

 

The retreat focused on contemporary issues, various ways of solution based approach in life, importance of prayer, teenage blues in our children, parents role in leading healthy families and creating God fearing atmosphere and above all divine presence of the Holy Spirit to lead us through in every step of our life.

 

To make the whole theme more impressive, all preachers shared real life experiences and used anecdotal reviews to connect the people with a view to carry the message home more strongly to have effective results.

 

Bishop Agnelo Gracious celebrated the Holy Eucharist. While welcoming all, he said that when the permission sought for Women retreat, he expected only 15-20 ladies but he was surprised to see the good response and participation of more 500 women from all over Mumbai in this retreat. He congratulated and appreciated the efforts put by the women to make this Retreat a great success.

 

 

In his Homily he said, ‘The feelings and relationship the Lord had with human beings was boundless. We have to understand the meaning of relationship. We have to bring peace in our family and we have to forgive others like how Jesus did as he has give a big gift to us by way of our Life and God is nothing but Love.

 

Melodious choir led by Fiona generated more devotion and added beauty to the retreat session. 

 

Rupa was the powerful anchor of this retreat, she thanked one all one for their whole hearted support and cooperation for making this event a grand success. Delicious food, snack and tea was served to all by Chris Caterers.
