Pamboor: World Disabled Day Celebrated at Manasa Rehabilitation and Training Centre

Pamboor, 07 December 2010: World Disabled Day was celebrated at Manasa School Pamboor on Monday 06th December 2010. It was a special day for all the children of Manasa, who received gifts and prices, sweets and tasty meals.
Sr. Vinny Gonsalves - Principal welcomed the Chief Guest Mrs. Leena D´souza and other invitees. She acknowledged the generosity of Mrs. Leena D´souza, Mr. Prakash and Mrs. Shakuntala for providing gifts and delicious food for Manasa school children.
The chief guest Mrs. Leena D´souza from Pernal Parish, addressed the gathering about the wonderful achievements of Helen Keller and the singer Gana Gandarva Puttraja Gavai. She also appreciated the success of children in sports and other cultural activities.
The Secretary of Manasa Trust Dr. Jerold Pinto appreciated the hard work of the Principal, Warden, teaching staff and non teaching staff. He continually upheld the great success of Manasa school students in sports, at District, National and International level.
The President of Manasa Remedia D´souza also thanked the teaching staff and non teaching staff for rendering their services generously for these special children. On this day one of the students Shanon Monteiro from Pre-Primary A section, celebrated his birthday with everyone and distributed sweets for all.
The children performed beautiful dances and skit and made the gathering very happy. It was delightful to watch the way; they were dancing according to the rhythm. Let us love and respect the special children, who are very special in their nature.
