Udupi/M’belle: Mrs. Malathi A. of St. Lawrence English Medium HS honoured as ’Best Tea

Udupi, 06 Sep 2014: Mrs. Malathi A. One of the senior most teachers in St. Lawrence English Medium High School, Moodubelle was honoured as one of the twenty ‘Best Teachers’ at the Udupi District level in a function held at Shyamili Audiorium, Udupi on the occasion of the Teachers Day’ on 5 September 2014. The District Administration and G. Shanker family jointly organized the district level teachers day. The Urban Development Minister in the Karnataka Government and Minister-in-charge of Udupi Distirct inaugurated the programme and honoured the teachers.
In all twenty teachers were honoured as ‘Best Teachers’ among whom ten were from Government run schools and ten from private schools. Mrs. Malathi A. Is one of the teachers from the private schools thus honoured.
Born on 28 June 1973 at Alevoor, Mrs. Malathi had her primary and secondary education at Subhodhini Primary School and Nehru High School, Alevoor. She continued her education at the Poorna Prajna College, Udupi where she completed PUC and acquired B.Sc. degree. Thereafter Mrs. Malathi secured B.Ed. degree from Bangalore University.
Having joined the teaching profession, Mrs. Malathi served as a teacher at Bangalore for three years and at the Vidyaniketan School, Kaup for one year.
Mrs. Malathi joined St. Lawrence English Medium High School, Moodubelle in 2003 and has been serving as a teacher in the same school since then for the last eleven years. She has been teaching Science and Social Science to seventh standard and high school students.
Being a dedicated and conscientious teacher, Mrs. Malathi has been a role model to many teachers who had joined the school later. She has been a good organizer and proved her ability as an administrator when she had to serve as in-charge Headmistress for nine months in the year 2009-2010.
By her simplicity and teaching ability, Mrs. Malathi has been popular among the staff and students. Her service has been appreciated by the Principals as well as the Management.
Mrs. Malathi married to Dr. Girish K. Who is presently Senior Veterinary Inspector. Their son, Aditya is tenth standard student in St. Lawrence English Medium High school and also the School Pupil Leader (SPL) for the year 2014-15.

Raj, Principal of St. Lawrence English Medium High School have congratulated Mrs. Malathi on her being selected as one of the ‘Best Teachers’ at the District level. It is a great honour to St. Lawrence Group of Educational Institutions that one of their teachers has bee honoured as the ’Best Teachers’ at the Udupi District level.
