Bantwal: Krishnastami celebrated with pomp & gaiety at Ram Mandir, Kalladka

Bantwal, 18 Aug 2014: Krishnastami was celebrated by Mosarukudike Utsav at Rama Mandir, Kalladka, near here on Monday August 18.
The mega procession of tableaus accompanied by traditional music and kids donning the costumes of Sri Krishna was held along the road at Kalladka, here on Monday morning.
The tableaus of Kalladka – puppetry troupe, Bajrang Dal, VHP, Trishul Friends, Om Shakti Friends, Manikanta Yuva Shakti, Netaji Yuvaka Mandala attracted more attention of onlookers.
The leaders Chennappa Kotian, Narayan Somayaji, Rama Vidhya Kendra correspondent Prabhakar Bhat, former MLA K Padmanabha Kottari, A Rukmaya Poojary, Jitendra Kottari including hundreds and thousands of devotees partaken in the religious celebrations.
The youth have enthusiastically partaken in breaking the pot competitions, amidst tight security provided by district administration.
The traffic on NH 75 was disrupted for nearly 2-hour when the procession and festivities were held on the road. The police diverted the traffic to service road.
