This tiny creature Lady Bug widely seen in our vegetable gardens, around the paddy field. Many people are fond of Lady Bugs because of their colorful, spotted appearance. But farmers love them for their appetite. Most Lady Bugs voraciously consume plant eating insects such as aphids, and in doing so they help to protect crops. Lady Bugs are also called lady beetles. This inset a reminder to any animals that have tried to eat their kind before; I taste awful . A threatened Lady Bug may both play dead and secrete the unappetizing substance to protect it self. Thanks Victor Castelino for the beautful picture. |
