Instruction from the Minister in charge Dinesh Gundu Rao to launch the theater work process

Bantwal: District in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has instructed to initiate the work process for the construction of the much-awaited theater in Mangaluru city.
He held a meeting with senior officials at Bantwal Tourist Centre on Wednesday regarding the construction of the theatre. Now, regarding the construction of the theatre, a proposal has already been submitted to the government to give administrative approval for the work with an estimated cost of Rs. 9.95 crore. I discussed this with Kannada and Culture Minister Shivaraj Thangadgi today and the approval will be received from the government soon, the minister said.
The minister said that after the government’s approval, the Mangalore Municipal Corporation should conduct the tender process for the work. The minister, who received complete information about the theater project, discussed the design of the project. A fully equipped theater should be built and completed without any shortcomings. Minister Dinesh Gundurao suggested that the work should be carried out by adopting design and technology that is compatible with artistic activities.
The theatre should be completed using the available grant of Rs. 9.95 crore. The in-charge minister said that the additional grant required for further interior design, sound and lighting, and other final works should be released by the Kannada and Culture Department, Mangalore Metropolitan Corporation, and Mangalore Urban Development Authority.
The in-charge minister suggested that this land in Bondel in the city be suitable for the construction of a theater, and that a connection road and other infrastructure be included in the project.
Deputy Commissioner, Mullai Mugilan M.P. informed the Minister about the theatre project.
Mangalore Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ravichandra Nayak, Zilla Panchayat Deputy Secretary Jayalakshmi, Kannada and Culture Department Assistant Director Rajesh G., District Information Officer B. A. Khader Shah and senior officials were present in the meeting.
