Bantwal: Former Union Minister, Senior leader B. Janardhan Poojary inaugurated the event. He spoke inspiring words to the athletes on the occasion and wished them all the best for the sports festival to blossom their talents.

 

Bantwal Taluk Billava Samaj Seva Sangha President B. Sanjeeva Poojary, who presided over the program, explained the objectives of the Gurukrupa Games. Legislative Council member B.K. Hariprasad, who received the guard of honour, spoke and said that it is necessary today to transcend caste and religion with humanity and to spread the spirit of sports. The sports torch was lit by the Padumale Kotichennai Janmasthan Sanchalana Samiti President Harikrishna Bantwal handed over the flag. Bantwal DySP S. Vijayaprasad hoisted the flag.
