New Washrooms and Toilets facilities donated by Canfins Homes to NJC Barkur inagurated

Udupi/Barkur, 10 Dec 2023: It’s a moment of joy and happiness for students as the newly built modern Washrooms at the cost of Rs 10laks, mainly with the generous contributions from Canfins Homes, for both Boys and Girls inaugurated today, Saturday, 9th December, 2023.

 

During a simple ceremony at 10.30 am, former General Manager Mr B Sudhakar Shetty cut the ribbon and unveiled the plaque to declare open the modern facilities for the benefit of students and staff. Most of the Office bearers and Members of the Barkur Educational Society, representatives of Education Dept, the Principal and staff, High School Headmistress and her co-staff members, students were present to witness the programme.

 

In the followed stage programme, BES Secretary Mr Ashok Kumar Shetty, Vice President Mr B Seetarama Shetty, Chairman of Platinum Jubilee Celebrations Committee and now Correspondent of SVVN, spoke aptly to acknowledge the generosity of CANFINS Homes.

 

 

The Contractor Mr Umesh Shetty, alumnae of NJC, too was thanked and honoured for his quality work with very reasonable cost, by draping traditional shawl and memento.

 

Mr Sudhakar Shetty a former Lecturer for PUC, in 1970, though for a short tenure, recalled nostalgic memories of those days and felt honoured to give back something worth back to this great Institution, which moulded thousands over the last 76 plus years.

 

Senior Vice President of BES S. Vittal Shetty expressed deep sense of gratitude’s to the generous donor CAN FINS Homes through Mr Sudhakar Shetty. This will be a wash room with scientific facilities for use and by not only by utilising but by maintaining it, our students exhibit their thanks he opined.

 

Principal Prof U Kotraswamy proposed vote of thanks to donors CANFINS Homes, past students and all others for providing much needed facilities to their Alma Mater.
