Udupi, Jun 5, 2014 : Vishwasadamane – rehabilitation centre in Shankarapura, near here rescued a twenty-five-year-old destitute from nearby Udyavar bridge on August 18 2010. He was shabbily dressed with unkept hair and long beard. He used to be calm, and laugh loudly sometimes and weep.
He did not remember his native village as he was mentally unsound. The staff of Vishwasadamane gave him a nice haircut and shaved his long beard, bathed him and dressed with good clothes. He was diagnosed as mentally ill and was under medication since then. Meanwhile, he recovered from his illness, revealed his name as Ramprakash Sharma hails from Bihar. The staff wrote a letter to the address which Sharma gave, which was returned with incomplete address. The staff wrote another letter after getting proper address from Sharma on January 7 2014 that reached his family.
Sharma’s brother Bhagavan and their father Devraj arrived at Vishwasadamane here on Wednesday June 4 in order to take him back to their native town. Devraj said that its nearly 5 years since Sharma went missing. He was the second among 5 children of Devraj and Rajkumari Devi couple. Sharma has completed Class X and developed mental health problem. He went missing on December 3 2008 when he had not returned home from market. The local police was informed and media published missing report along with his picture. Devraj spent money on astrologers and continued his look out for Sharma till a year, but without success. Rajkumari Devi would weep almost daily pondering over missing son. The family lost hope of finding their missing son.
However, Devraj family made a telephone call to Vishwasadamane from the number found on the letter that they have received and confirmed that Sharma is alive. The entire family was overjoyed back in their native. Devraj, Bhagavan and their prodigal son Sharma left to their native with grateful heart from Vishwasadamane on Wednesday June 4. ‘The efforts of Vishwasadamane have paid off in reuniting the prodigal son. Vishwasadamane will continue its noble deed,’ said Pastor Sunil D’Souza.
It is really a noble deed by Vishwasadamane which appears like Vishwada mane. Thanks to bellevision for the report.
