Kundapur: Sleuths Seize Truck Smuggling Cattle at Hattiyangady; Nab 2 Persons

Kundapur, 21 Jul 2013: The city sleuths seized a truck that was loaded with 20 buffaloes that was ready to illegally transport the payload to Kerala by 2 persons at nearby Hattiyangady, near here on Saturday July 20 early morning.  The buffaloes were sourced from across Kundapur taluk and meant for supplies to abattoirs in Kerala.  The police also arrested the 2 persons who were accused of smuggling cattle.

 


The arrested has been identified as Divakar K Nair and Abdul Rashid, both are hailing from Kasargod.  They were presented before the court here.


 
Kundapur sub-inspector Jayaram D Gowda, assistant inspector Sheena Naik, police personnel Mahabala Shetty, Raju and Ashok were involved in this operation.
