Karkala: Boy knocked down by car

Karkala: A boy was killed and another injured when they were knocked down by a car at Bailoor in the Karkala police limits.

According to the police, two boys Nikshit (11) and Dikshit were walking by the side of the road near Basri School in Bailoor, when a car, which was going from Karkala to Udupi, knocked them down.

Nikshit, who was severely injured, was being taken to a hospital. But he died on the waty to the hospital, the police said. Dikshit, who suffered minor injuries in the accident and is said to be recovering in a nursing home in Bailoor. A case has been registered.
