Palm Sunday Observed in Pamboor and Pernal Churches with Devotion

Pamboor, 01 April 2012: The Palm Sunday was celebrated with devotion in the Holy Cross Church, Pamboor on April 1, 2012. The ceremony started at 7:30 am with the blessing of coconut palms by  Rev.Fr.Charles Lewis, parish priest of Pamboor.
 
The parishioners along with Fr. Charles Lewis took out a procession with palms in their hands around the church compound as the church choir sang hymns .

 

 
Following the blessing of the Palms and procession, the solemn Palm Sunday Mass started at 8.00am which was offered by Rev.Fr. Charles Lewis.

 

 

 Pernal Church:

 

Pernal-The holy ceremony was started at 8.am.Palm was blessed  by Rev. Fr. Gregory Serrao at Fatima Higher Pry School Stage. Then Palm was brought to church in procession. The mass was witnessed by many parishnores and their devotion was appreciated during the mass.  Rev. Fr. Gregory Serrao was the main celebrant and delivered the intresting sermon. ICYM unit had organised the liturgical part. Thus the holy week has been started to remark Jesus Christ,our saviours sacrifice of his life for our sins.
