Udupi: GP polls: 1,669 candidates for second phase

Udupi 05 May 2010: As many as 1,669 candidates are in the fray for the second phase of gram panchayat polls in Kundapur taluk, to be held on May 12. An official press release issued here on Tuesday stated that of the 825 gram panchayat seats in the taluk, 73 candidates had been declared elected unopposed.
