Court declines to stay Yeddyurappa’s graft prosecution

Bangalore, 25 August 2011: The Karnataka High Court Thursday declined to stay prosecution of former chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa for corruption.
The bench of Justice Ajit Gunjal and Justice B.V. Nagarathna rejected Yeddyurappa’s petition seeking stay on the prosecution and challenging Governor H.R. Bhardwaj’s sanction to prosecute him on a complaint by two Bangalore advocates.
