Goa Visit
Goa is a place I always loved to visit time and again. I do not know how many times I visited this magic city. But every time I returned with a new refreshing experience.
This time I travelled in a Double Decker HOP on .. HOP off bus around the city of Goa. It was a comfortable, pleasant yet economical journey I should say. Boarding on air conditioned bus is flexible and royal feel altogether.
As I am a frequent traveller it was a good experience like in Europe. Most of the site seeing place are within walking distance. Goa is famous for churches and cathedrals.
Way back in the year 1541, a Chapel was first built in Panjim, now Panaji to serve the religious needs of the religious needs of the Portuguese sailors, at their first port of call, in colonial Portuguese, India. At that time the settlement was a small fishing village. It became a Parish in 1600, and in 1609 the small chapel, was replaced by the present day, large church, to minister to the spiritual needs of the residents and sailors.
In the 19th century the stairway, in a symmetrical Zigzag form, was added to the church. The bell was installed in 1871 which was formerly at the Augustinian Monastery on Holy Hill, Old Goa and was retrieved, after the monastery was damaged.
Visiting old Goa which is a national heritage place of Goa, basilica and cathedral and many other churches also Miramar beach, Casino Point, River Cruise, Kala Academy, Dona Paula Sea view, and also old colonial house.
It is indeed a new refreshing experience of new dimensions tour of Goa.
