Karkal, Jun 14, 2014 : A college bus of a premier education institution drove off-road and got itself submerged in heap of loose soil; while precariously overtaking a mini-two-wheeler laden with milk cans at nearby Jantra Road, Belman, near here on Friday June 13. The milkman and the students were miraculously survived in this mishap.
The eye witnessed informed that major tragedy was averted when the bus carrying college students drove off-road and stuck in loose soil.
The locals expressed their anguish over the drivers of these college buses owned by the premier education institution, who are reckless and over speeding and urged the authorities to take disciplinary action on these erring drivers.
How safe are the school/college buses…?
It was during 2013, twenty students were injured when the college bus of the same premier education institution plunged into 20-feet deep gorge owing to recklessness of its driver at nearby Nirchal, Belman, here. Despite this, the drivers have not reduced the speed. The issue was discussed during the meeting of village council.
Meanwhile, another bus of the same premier institution dangerously overtook a tipper truck with visible scratches on both vehicles; just a few hours ahead of the above incident on Friday June 13.
The local residents of Belman caution the drivers for their recklessness and over speeding that is solely responsible for the mishaps.
