Mumbai: Bharat Bank bids adieu to GM Shekar Poojary

Mumbai, 31 May 2014: Shekar Poojary who was serving 15 years as general manager at the headquarters of Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited, a multi-state scheduled bank, here was bid adieu by his employer during a function held here on Saturday May 31.  Shekar joined Bharat Bank after serving as senior lecturer at L & T Institute of Technology.
 
Shekar has worked in various managerial capacity in different departments including IT, HRD, legal and loans recovery.  He used to organized HRD camps while actively serving with Billawar Association.
 
Shekar hails from Miyar in Karkal taluk of Udupi district.
 
The farewell function was held at Bharat Bank headquarter here presided by managing director and CEO C R Mulky here on Saturday.
 
C R Mulky lauded the personal attributes of Shekar such as discipline and straight forward approach to succeed in his banking career.   

 

 
The chief general manager Anil Kumar R Amin, HRD chief Dinesh B Salian, deputy general managers Suresh Salian, Raghu Poojary, Shobha Dayanand, V S Shanbagh and Nityanand D Kotian, assistant general managers Vidhyanand Karkera, Mohandas Hejmady, Kishore Kotian, Vishwanat Suvarna and Vasudev M Salian, the top bank officers and bank staff were present on the occasion.
 
The office bearers of Bharat Bank Employees Union, Officers Association, Staff Welfare Club office bearers conveyed best wishes to Shekar Poojary on his retirement.
 
Shekar Poojary in his address thanked all his subordinates, board of directors and said that one is assured of success provided one works diligently putting his mind and soul into the task.
