Mangalore: BJP Agent Baba Ramdev is creating rift by Caste politics - Ivan D’Souza

Mangalore, 4 May 2014: Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee (DCC) Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) cell staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on May 3.
 
Addressing the protesters Dr Raghu said that the statement by Ramdev on Rahul’s visit to Dalit colony has hurt the sentiments of the Dalit community.  The Dalit are peace loving community restrain from taking the law into their hands. Ramdev was a ordinary yoga guru earlier, but later he started to sell Ayurvedic medicines and made money in several crore of rupees through Patanjali, there were allegations on him that he used to mix human bones in Ayurvedic medicines.  They are not against Ramdev but his comments have humiliated Rahul Gandhi on his visit to the houses of Dalits which has hurt the feelings of the entire Dalit community.

 

 

 
The religious leaders are expected to uplift Dalits and should not play with their sentiments. Ramdev should be arrested soon and punished under SC/ST atrocity Act.  If the government will not arrest him, the Dalit community will intensify their protest.

KPCC Secretary Ivan D’Souza, addressing the protesters said that Ramdev is a agent of BJP and he is trying to divide the country on caste basis. The Congress party will always support the SC/ST and fight for their rights.  Ramdev should understand that if the citizens of the country will not be treated equally, the country will not be developed. Ramdev should apologies for his comments and withdraw his statement, urged Ivan.
