Abu Dhabi: ISC presents enchanting golden melodies of 60s

Abu Dhabi, 02 May 2014: " Todays younger generation is catching up with fast nos and get used to that trend than enjoying quality slow numbers "  said Hon. Gen Secretary Vinod in his opening address during the Musical concert titled Golden Melodies of 60’s which was organized by Entertainment  Section of  India Social & Cultural Centre Abu Dhabi. presented golden numbers of bygone era from Hindi & Malayalam Movies  On Thursday, the 1st May 2014.

 Jose  Mathew, Hon Entertainment  Sec.  accorded a warm welcome and requested the music lovers to releax and enjoy the golden melodies of 1960s.  Vinod Hon G.Secretary lamented that there are no much demand now a days for the slow numbers as the younger generation catching up with fast nos and not much interested in good old quality nos.  However, ISC has made a point to keep the old melodies alive by organizing once in a while the musical shows where the local singers are encouraged to sing in old number and sizable quality music lovers do attend and enjoy the enchanting wonders songs of 1950s or 1960 which are still afresh among the old generation.

The lovely numbers were presented by local singers and members of ISC namely Druthi Dev,  Joshi,  Roshni Pradeep,  Surekha Shetty, Amna,   Prashanth Kumar,  Jasmine God Frey,   Karthika,  Usha Pradeep,  Shruthi and  Ziyad.  All the singers were applauded by audience which who enjoyed the good old numbers to name a few;  Lage Ja Gale, Jane Kaham gaye wo din, Ajib Das tha hai dil, Ankiyonke Jorokonse and dil he chotasa and a few wonderful Malayalam nos.

In-between the programme spot games were conducted related to 60’s movie melodies by  Programme Host Aysha Anwar and gave away the prizes.

It was indeed an evening of nostalgic for all for all music lovers present at auditorium and compere Aysha Anwar presented the show beautifully with details of all songs and movies from which these songs were picked up and related topics.
 
The instruments were played by well know musicians of Abu Dhabi namely: On Tabala Asharf,  Abdul Salam on Harmonium,  Guitar Played by Abhilash. Prior to concluding the programme a beautiful songs presented by Entertain secretary Matehw J Mathew received huge and thunderous applause from the audience.

The wonderful musical golden melodies of 60s started 8.30pm and concluded at 11.30pm, Entertainment Section  of ISC thanked all the singers and audience for cooperation  and promised  in future ISC is going to mesmerize  with many more musical concerts such as these in the future.
