Udupi: City Sleuths arrest youth for uploading obscene pics of girl on FB

Udupi, 11 Jan 2014: A youngster was arrested for allegedly uploading pics of a girl on sexual act on FB here on Friday January 10.

 

The arrested has been identified as twenty-two-year-old Mohammed Yasir, a college student in the city.  Yaseer was arrested based on the complaint lodged by the girl at Manipal police station.

 

 

 

 

The police presented the accused Yasir before the judge who awarded judicial custody till Wednesday January 22. 
Addressing the media persons, SP Dr Boralingaiah said that the said girl and Yasir were in an affair for the past 10 months, and Yasir had clicked her pics with her consent.

 

Meanwhile, the Yasir’s girlfriend who stays in Dubai came to know about the affair, and both Yasir and his girlfriend masterminded a plot to put the girl in trouble, by uploading her pics on Facebook and Wats up, said SP Dr Boralingaiah.
There are contradictory reports that Yasir had drugged the girl and taken her pics, and uploaded the same in FB and Wats up.  However, these reports are not confirmed by the police.

 

Manipal police registered a case in this regard and investigations are under way.
