Pius Nagar Welfare Committee Kuwait (PWCK) Celebrates Monti Fest

Kuwait, 08 Sep 2017: Pius Nagar Welfare Committee Kuwait (PWCK) Celebrated Monthi Feast (Nativity of our Lady) at Avanti Palace, Salmiyah here on Friday 8th September 2017.

 

Celebration started at 8pm with the prayer by Wilma Menezes. President Richard Menezes extended his warm welcome to all the parishioners with a spiritual touch of words and wished blessings of Infant Mary on the gathering. 

 

The statue of Infant Mary was decorated with beautiful flowers. Sunil Menezes & Team conducted the Monthi Feast event and offering flowers to Mother Mary. All the children and elders offered flowers to Mother Mary singing “Sakkad Sangatha Mellyan” and “Moriek Hogalsian”. After the celebration soft drinks and snacks served to all the family members.

 

Number of games for children and adults were conducted during the event, prizes were distributed to all the winners in different games.

 

Beautiful Konkani Song (Nove Jevann) sung by Stenwil Menezes and appreciated by everyone.

 

 

New office bearers were elected for the term of 2017-2018. The New Committee comprises Roshan Quadras (President), Praveen Menezes (Vice-President), Wilma Menezes (General Secretary), Freeda D’costa (Joint-secretary), Vincent Menezes (Treasurer), Wilma Moras & Victoria Noronha (Public Relation Officers - PRO), Valerian D’mello (Cultural Secretary) Management Committee Members: Richard Menezes, Remy Fernandes, Sunil Menezes, Louis D’costa, Dennis D’souza  & Naveen Lasrado. Remy Fernandes thanked outgoing president and team for their dedicated contribution towards PWAK for the last 4 years term and welcomed newly elected president and team.

 

Remy Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to all the members & fly who attended the Monthi Feast and the Sponsors.

 

Prayer was rendered by Freeda D’Costa. Avanti Palace Restaurant provided the Traditional food for the evening.

 

The event concluded with singing, ‘Laudate.’
