Mumbai: Banna Bannada Baduku, Kannada movie set to premier on Jun 2

Mumbai, 23 May 2017: Banna Bannada Baduku, Kannada movie that depicts the dilemma of a Yakshagana artiste in coastal Karnataka, directed by well known journalist Ismail Moodshedde, Mangaluru will be premiered here, on Friday, June 2. The movie was box office hit in Karnataka. Raviraj Shetty, hailing form coastal district is the hero of this movie.
Addressing the media persons, here, on Friday, May 19, Raviraj said that he was aghast of acting on a role of Muslem youth, but he was convinced of the script.

Ismail Moodshedde said, ‘It’s the story of a Muslem Yakshagana artiste of coastal district. He was in a dilemma, whether the people of communally-sensitive Mangaluru would allow a Moslem to don the roles of Rama and Krishna. Thankfully everything went on smoothly and the movie was ready. The producer Krishna Naik and others supported me in this endeavor,’ said Ismail.
The senior actor Satyajit was hospitalized after the movie was ready. Krishna Naik paid his hospital bills of Rs 2.5 lac, said Ismail with gratefulness.
The senior actor Honnavalli Krishna and up-and-coming actor Riya also thanked the crew for all their support during the shooting of movie that was produced under the banner Mutturam Creations by Krishna Naik. Ismail provided the script and dialogues.
The movie will be premiered at the leadership of renowned organizer Suresh Shetty Yeyyady, here, on Friday, June 2, said Ismail.
Ismail, Karnire Vishwanat Shetty, Patla Satish Shetty, Suresh Shetty Yeyyady and others were present.
