Bantwal: Hindu Jana Jagruti Samiti, Bolantoor holds protest rally against women atrocities

Bantwal, 12 Mar 2015: The hundreds of people led by Hindu Jana Jagruti Samiti, Bolantoor, near here held a protest rally from Kokkepuni to Narsha maidan, near here on Thursday March 12 against a section of the community that are alleged to be involved in women atrocities and social evil.
The protesters alleged a group of 25 youth of a section of the community in Bolantoor, near here is responsible for causing mental harassment to Hindu girls, engaged in illegal transporting of cows and slaughter, peddling drugs and overtures.
The protesters presented a memorandum to Bantwal circle inspector Belliyappa mentioning the names of youth involved in social evil and also urged the youth involved in harassing a teacher.
The police led by sub-inspectors Rakshit, Nanda Kumar, Latesh Kumar and Chandrashekarayya and circle inspector Belliyappa provided security at the spot at the direction of Bantwal ASP Rahul Kumar.
BJP state vice president Sulochana G K Bhat, Praveen Udupi, ZP member Chennappa Kotian, TP members Anand Shamboor and Dinesh Amtoor, local leaders Raviraj B C Road, Ratnakar Shetty, Ramdas Bantwal, Dixit, Jayaram Rai, Krishnappa Poojary, Balakrishna Serkala, Venkataramana Balkuraya, Sudhakar Rai and others were present.
