Udupi, 12 Sep 2017: The heap of garbage welcomes one who visits Shirva. The stray dogs roam the streets. There is no dearth of money. It’s the abode of NRIs. The educated, intellectuals and progressive people are living in Shirva. There are many higher education centers.  Despite, Shirva is rich in every sphere, the people lack the will power, said Udupi district DC Priyanka Mary Francis.

DC Priyanka was speaking after inaugurating Bantakal ward level plastic ban and cleanliness awareness programme, at the limits of Shirva gram panchayat, during the function held at Rotary auditorium, Bantakal, near here, on Monday, September 11.
