Udupi, 08 Aug 2017: Rotary Community unit of Alevoor that was promoted by Rotary Club of Udupi, organized Aati Sambrama – Vanamahotsav at Sri Krishna Chaya home of Krishnamurti Kamat, near Karvalu, here on Sunday, August 6.

 

Rotary Community unit of Alevoor president Kusuma Kamat presided the programme. Rotary Club of Udupi president Ramachandra Upadhyaya inaugurated the programme.

Rotary former assistant governor and district literacy Committee vice-chairman B Pundalika Marate was the chief guest, said that Rotary Community Units are being launched in rural villages, in order to revive agrarian culture, improve infrastructures and help the rural folks to lead self sufficient living.

 

Rotary Club of Udupi past president Dr Suresh Shenoy presented the certificate issued by Rotary Club International to Rotary Community of Alevoor on the same occasion.

 

The past assistant governor Subramanya Basri was present.

 

The Community Unit speaker Dr Sudarshan Bhat spoke on Aaati celebrations and Vanamahotsav.

 

The progressive farmer Subraya Kamat, Puttu Kamat, veteran folk singer and traditional medicinal practitioner Appi Serigarti were felicitated on the same occasion.

 

The Community Unit member Geeta Serigar welcomed the gathering. Sunada proposed vote of thanks. Vedamurti Raghuram Bhat conveyed best wishes. Rotary Club secretary K S Karant was present. 

 

The Community Unit members presented folk dances and cultural shows as part of entertainment.

 

Krishnamurti Kamat, Devendra Bhagavat, Purushottam Nayak, Arvind Nayak, Dr Veena, Damodar Hebbar, Dinesh Bhandary, Deepa Bhandary, B Ramachandra Aithal, Chandrashekar Adiga, Vidya Shenoy, Vanita Upadhyaya, Shubha Basri, Dr Prabhakar Mallya, Shravan Basri, Muralikrishna Upadhyaya, Community Unit and local residents were present.

 

The varieties of Aati delicacies were the special attraction at the programme.

Regarding ECS opted, rental house/shop contract ends or terminated / closed, the minimum bills will be raised in the name / AC of ECS availed ?
