Minister Ramanath vows to get justice for slain Jaleel

Bantwal, 15 May 2017: The police have arrested the accused in the slain case of Karopady gram panchayat vice president Jaleel Karopady and they will arrest those men who are behind this heinous crime and get punishment too, said DK district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai.

 

The minister Rai was speaking during condolence meet on Abdul Jaleel Karopady, held at Lions Seva Mandir, B C Road, here, on Sunday, May 14. It was organized by Mahatma Gandhi Shanti Souharda Vedike.

 

Jaleel was known to have cordial relations with every community in society. He took the leadership in implementing Bahugrama Drinking Water Programme in least backward villages of Kanyana and Karopady. He was one among my dear friends and I will make my honest attempt in getting justice for his deposed soul, said minister Rai in tears.

 

 

Karnataka legislative council chief whip Ivan D’Souza said the civil society is disgraced in killing of Jaleel who had vision for social reform. It’s the unbearable loss for the entire society.

 

Karnataka state parliamentary affairs secretary Shakuntala Shetty said that condolences were offered on the same stage of Brahmakalashotsva that was held at Karopady on the following day of slaying. It’s evident that Jaleel was indeed loved by all.    

 

Beltangady MLA Vasant Bangera urged the law enforcement agencies to arrest all the accused.

 

Souharda Vedike founder Ravishankar Shetty in his preliminary address said that Jallel was loved by all and all the doubts got to be cleared by proper investigations. The united struggle is indeed needed in this regard.
