Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration in Ajjarkad Park

Udupi, 03 October 2011: The birthday of Father of the Nation Mahathma Gandiji was celebrated by offering flowers to the Gandhi Statue at Bhujanga Park in Ajjarkad, Udupi. Speaking on the occasion District In charge Minister Dr. V.S. Acharya said that the principles of Gandhiji are all time in practice. The thoughts of Gandhiji who united the people of the nation without any difference between the cast or religion are more in practice now than before.

 

 
Gandhiji has shown a way to the mankind to fight with no-violence. Today’s generation did not get the opportunity of seeing Gandiji. When Gandhiji came to Udupi to spread the freedom fight all over India, here in Udupi a woman by name Nirmala Kamath gave her jewellery and supported the freedom fight, remembered Dr. V.S. Acharya.
 
In this simple celebration program Udupi MLA K. Raghupathi Bhat, Deputy Commissioner Dr. M.T.
