Belman: “World Breastfeeding week” program inaugurated

Belman, 02 August 2011: “World breastfeeding week” program was held at Primary Health Centre Hall Belman. Upon inaugurating the program Mallika Rao – President of Belman Grama Panchayath spoke and said that, mother’s breast milk is the best food for children and for the health protection of infants it is like amratha. Organizations need to extend their cooperation to the health department in providing the necessary information on this to the mothers, she said.
 

Dr. Sathish – Medical Officer of the Health Centre spoke on the occasion and briefed on the health of mothers - children, the normal sickness of children and the preventive measures and the role of the health department. He also called upon for the cooperation of everyone on the success of this program which will be taking place from 1st to 7th August 2011. Chief guests and dignitaries present on this inaugural program were; Sathish Kotyan – President of Belman JCI, Ramakrishna – President of Lions Club and Prema – Representative of Sthreeshakthi.
 
The program was compeered by D. T. Patagar – Jr. Health Assistant. Prabhakar Nayak – Sr. Health Assistant proposed vote of thanks. The program was jointly organized by Primary Health Centre, Belman JCI, Lions Club and Lioness Club. In the program members of Streeshakthi, Asha workers, Anganavadi workers and Women Department representatives had participated.
