Mangaluru: Yenepoya Dental College organizes Cancer screening in city

Mangaluru, 08 Feb 2017: Yenepoya Dental College, here in association with Yen Onco Center and MFAR Constructions Private Limited organized cancer awareness and screening programme for the staff and workers of MFAR Constructions, at Bolar labour quarters, here on Tuesday, February 7.

 

Farhad, director of finance, Yenepoya University inaugurated the programme. Anil Bhandary Kota, zonal head and Dr Zaffer, CMO of MFAR were present.

 

 

Dr Ibrahim Nagnur, head of department of preventive oncology, Yenepoya Onco Centre, Dr Rachana Prabhu of Yenpoya Dental College, Sudarshan Shetty, DGM projects, MFAR were also present on the dais.

 

Cancer awareness demonstration was given by Dr. Ibrahim Nagnur, oral cancer demonstration by Dr Imran Pasha, breast cancer talk by Dr Rachana Prabhu and cervical cancer by Dr Ashwini Shetty, convener of CAOP, Yenepoya.  

 

Almost 260 people were screened for oral breast and cervical caner and taken the benefit of this programme.
