Mumbai: Aldel Edu Trust opens St John Institute of Humanities & Sciences in Palghar

Mumbai, 04 Aug 2015: The inaugural of St John Institute of Humanities and Sciences that is promoted by Aldel Education Trust was held at the college campus, Palghar, in Thane district on Monday August 3.
Bellary bishop Dr Henry D’Souza held the prayers and blessed the building on Monday morning.
Karnataka Bank CEO and managing director P Jayaram Bhat was the chief guest of the occasion inaugurated the Institute. People Learning Capacity Development and Global Education Solution India director Jeevan D’Cunha was the guest of honor.
Aldel Education Trust chairman Albert W D’Souza presided the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, bishop Dr Henry appealed to the students to have far reaching plans for better future. He also lauded the entrepreneurship qualities of Albert W D’Souza who had diversified his interest from printing industry to education sphere and also to banking. His social concern to reach the education to rural students of Palghar is noteworthy, said bishop Dr Henry.
Jayaram Bhat said that one can reach greater heights provided he/she is disciplined to achieve set goals in life. Albert has proved this with his diverse interest.
Albert said that Aldel Education Trust has opened St John’s Institute of Engineering, St John’s Pharmacy and Research in Palghar, a rural area, in order to brighten up the future of rural students. There are plans to make St John’s education institutions into global hub.
Aldel Education Trust secretary Elvina A D’Souza, St John technical campus advisor Dr S Krishnamurti, MMS College administrator Professor Thomas Lobo, St John Institute of Humanities and Sciences principal Anil Kumar Choudhary were present at the dais.
Public homage was paid to former President Dr Abdul Kalam by offering silent prayers for a few minutes.
Aldel Education Trust trustee Fr John Rumao read the Bible chapter and held the prayers.
St John’s Institute of Pharmacy and Research principal Savita J Tauro, St John Institute of Engineering and Technology principal Dr Satish N Takalikar and Pallavi Srivastav introduced the dignitaries.
The Trust treasurer Elaina R Buthello, Reuben Buthello, Karnataka Bank assistant chief manager Nagaraj Rao B, John D’Silva, Gladys D’Silva, Lawrence D’Souza, Janet L D’Souza, Henry Lobo, Philomena H Lobo, Moses Gomes, Jean M Gomes, Pramila V Mathias, Wilfred Fernandes, Rocky D’Cunha, Stany Fernandes, George Castelino, religious priests and nuns were present.
The students Monisha Correa, Munsi Bafna and Swapnil Sirsat rendered the prayers. Gladina Fargos proposed vote of thanks. Triza George, Nancy Theyyil and Aisha Mohata compered the programme.
The programme concluded by singing National Anthem.
