I rented a self-contained studio apartment in a Bangaluru bungalow for staying during a fortnight long city tour in 2005. The landlord who lived on first floor had 4 tenants on ground floor. All had to use municipal water only for drinking/cooking. The rain harvested water was supplied for other domestic taps.

Good information! If everyone takes interest in harvesting rain water, will have less water problems!
