Udupi: Oscar Fernandes lauds humanitarian service of Vishwasadamane

Udupi, 28 Jul 2014 : Vishwasadamane orphanage and rehabilitation center does great humanitarian service to mankind, by rescuing destitute from streets, rehabilitating them and reunite their families.  The divine force is behind such noble deed, said the former union minister Oscar Fernandes.

 
Oscar was speaking after inaugurating Vishwasadamane Mental Hospital, Shankarapura, near here on Sunday July 27.

 

Oscar also assured to contribute his mite towards developing the infrastructure at Vishwasadamane.

 

 The state urban and Udupi district-in-charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake in his presidential address lauded the humanitarian service of Vishwasadamane, led by chief functionary Pastor Sunil D’Souza without any financial help from governments.

 
JDS Udupi district president Deviprasad Shetty, social activist Vincent Salins, Bangalore-based entrepreneur Trevor Sequeira, Mangalore-based entrepreneur Cyril Veigas were felicitated on the same occasion.

 
Udupi district health officer Dr Ramachandra Bayiri, Innanje gram panchayat president Dinesh Shetty, ZP member Katpady Shankar Poojary, entrepreneur Manohar Shetty, Kote gram panchayat president Prashant Jattanna, TP member Priscilla D’Mello, Dr Donald Simon, district AIDS control officer Dr H Ashok, Dr Joshna Mangalore, social activist Karandady Leeladar Shetty Kaup, Charles Ambler, Dr Rohan Mendonca, Mustaq Ahmed, Mohan Shetty Katpady, Madwaraj Suvarna Padubidri, Pastor E W Frank, ZP member Divakar Kundar, Katpady gram panchayat president Vinay Ballal, and others were present on the occasion.

 
Elizabeth D’Souza delivered the introductory address.  Sujyoti Maben introduced the dignitaries.  Pastor Joseph Jamakandi conducted the blessing.  Prakash Suvarna Katpady compered the programme.  Pastor Mathew Castelino proposed vote of thanks.
