Mumbai, Jul 21, 2014 : Bombay Bunts Association ® organized the distribution programme of scholarship to community’s needy students during a function held at Soumyalata Sadanand Shetty auditorium of Bunts Centre, sector – 24 Gamdevi Chowk, Juhi Nagar, Navi Mumbai, here on Sunday July 20.
The Association president Shyam N Shetty presided the programme here on Sunday morning.
Pest Mortem (India) Private Limited director Vinoda J Shetty was the chief guest.
Bharat Coach Builders Private Limited chairman Sadashiv S Shetty, Navi Mumbai corporator Adyapady Santosh Devappa Shetty, Durga Dyes and Chemicals managing director B N Shetty, Western Automobiles managing director N C Shetty and others were the guests of honor.
Speaking on the occasion, the Association – education Committee president Murali K Shetty said that Rs 25,000 scholarship fund that was launched 25 years ago, while this year Rs 16 lac was distributed to community’s needy students. He also acknowledged the greater contribution of entrepreneurs Sasikiran Shetty and Prabhakar J Shetty in this regard.
Vinodha J Shetty said that knowledge is greatest asset that cannot be stolen. At this competitive era, no amount of knowledge is sufficient. She appealed to the students to study utilizing their time responsibly knowing the importance of education.
Dr Surendra Vittal Shetty who bagged doctorate in philosophy in social work recently was felicitated on the same occasion.
The Association vice president M B Vittal, honorary chief secretary Chandrashekar S Shetty, The honorary treasurer chartered accountant Surendra K Shetty, joint secretary B A Sadashiv Rai, women wing president Sarala B Shetty, youth wing president Chetan R Shetty and Babu Shetty, others were present on the dais.
