Moodubelle, 17 October 2010: As part of the Centenary Programme of the establishment of St. Lawrence parish Moodubelle, the ICYM Unit of Moodubelle will be organising inter-parish cultural competition ‘Sangam-2010’ on Sunday, 7th November 2010 in the Parish Hall at 4.30 pm. The parishes that have been invited to participate in this competition include: Shirva, the parent parish of Moodubelle, Kanajar, Pamboor and Kuntalnagar, the branch parishes of Moodubelle and the Pangala parish, the immediate neighbour of Moodubelle.
Each parish will be sending a group of minimum 10 participants irrespective of age limit. Each group will be allotted 30 minutes to present five items-group song, dance, skit, jokes and master of ceremonies(MC). There will be three overall prizes for the parish groups on the basis of total points that they score taking into account the performance in all the five items.
The parish group that secures highest number of points will receive Rs.2000 and a trophy as prize; second prize will be of Rs.1,500 and a trophy; third prize will carry an amount of Rs.1000 and a trophy. The parish groups securing highest points in each of the five categories of the competition will also receive prizes each amounting to Rs.500 and trophy.
The parishes participating in the competition will be required to register the names of their groups in the Parish Office of Moodubelle by 24th October 2010 and the names of all the participants will have to be submitted by 30th October 2010.
