Udupi, Jun 30, 2014 : The likeminded journalists collectively can form co-operative societies to establish media companies to launch innovative newspapers on the basis of equality and to favorably respond to the expectation of society, urged Dr K M Raghava Nambiar, veteran journalist and Karnataka Rajyotsav Award recipient.
Dr Nambiar was speaking on accepting the honor accorded by Udupi district unit of Patrakartara Vedike ® Bangalore, here on Monday June 30.
The senior journalist Nadavaibhavam Vasudev Bhat said that it’s true that world is ungrateful of good deeds. It’s rare that the society acknowledges the good work of journalists who were able to bring happiness to so many people by highlighting their issues. Meanwhile, Patrakartara Vedike ® has done a great deed in acknowledging the lifetime service of veteran journalist Raghav Nambiar.
Vasudev Bhat felicitated Dr Nambiar by draping the shawl and presenting memento, writing materials.
Patrakartara Vedike Udupi district president Shekar Ajekar said that there are several associations of journalists. It’s essential that all the journalists gather at a venue and will have a chance to interact freely, said Shekar.
The photojournalist Balakrishna Kodavoor presented the pencil drawing of Dr Nambiar that he has drawn to Dr Nambiar on the same occasion.
