Dubai: 6th Lancy Nite a super hit musical concert mesmerizes Dubai audience

Dubai, 10 May 2014: The Sixth Musical Lancy Nite presented by Merit Freight Systems LLC with host of new and old singers mesmerized the Dubai audience on Friday Evening.  This musical extravaganza provided stage for many new and well-known Konkani singers and artists from UAE. The concert was held at the Emirates English Speaking School near Safa Park on Friday May 9 at 6.30 pm.

 

The main singers and organizers LancyNoronha and Joseph Mathias were supported by many singers namely; Shyna Noronha (Wife) and Lanita (Daugher) and even the little daughter Lanisha rendered her voice to the family.  The main singers Lancy (Lachmi), Joseph (Annachi) Dony Correa (Modala Preethi), Vincent Rodrigues(Susanna), Preema D’Souza (Laanponna), Lanita (Ulo) Vinod Rodrigues (Park Love), Mario Rego (Akanth)and Monica Valder (Mai) rocked the audience with their golden voices.

 

The grand concert began with a prayer dance (NamoNamo) by Ocean Kids dance troupe followed by welcome song by Lancy Noronha and family titled Sangeeth Kutam.

 

The well-known compere of U.A.E. Roshan D’Souza entered the dais and introduced the concert and the artists with his typical Konkani poetic and style which reciprocated by the audience with a huge applause.

 

Ramiro Mascarenhas and team, one of the topmost music bands in U.A.E. for Konkani shows once again charmed the audience with their unique music direction and provided wonderful music. The Sangon Mugdana team Pradeep Barboza, supported by Deepak Paladka and Ashunta presented a few hilarious rib tickling comedy skits.

 

Magician Antony provided entertainment with his magic tricks. A well-known Mumbai-based singer Kenny in female role enthralled the audience with his usual stylish and entertaining songs with dances.

 

The famous dance troupe of Dubai Ocean Kids group presented scintillating dances to Bollywood songs and charmed  the event with their scintillating dances.

 

The main sponsors of the event and supporters namely James Mendonca, Raju Francis, Denis Mark D’Souza and Simon D’Mello were felicitated by Joseph Mathias with shawls and floral bouquets.  Also all the media personnel, singers, all the artists, sound system (Broadway) and all those supported the event were felicitated with floral bouquets and shawls during the break.

 

 

On the occasion, Mark Denis D’Souza and Raju Francis addressed the audience and appreciated and lauded the efforts of Lancy and Joseph in conducting successful six Lancy Nites and wished them good luck.

 

Also on the occasion a Konkani audio CD by Jackson D’Souza titled: Tuzo Ugdas was released.

 

Between breaks,  MC Roshan cracked a few rib tickling jokes and also conducted a quiz and distributed prizes to the winners. He ably and wonderfully conducted the entire concert and had appreciation of the audience for the way he conducted the event.

 

Vote of thanks was proposed by Joseph Mathias and thanked each and everyone for the whole hearted support for the success of the 6th Lancy Musical Nite.

 

Prior to closing of the event, a short lucky dip was conducted by Simon D’Mello and valuable prizes such as airline tickets were distributed to the winners.

 

The final event of the grand musical show was the Baila dance joined by all audience and danced to the lovely fast numbers sung by Lancy and Joseph.
