Udupi, 26 Apr 2014: Badk, Tulu tele-film has been successful in bringing home the message how youth community would be ruined by hooking on to booze and gambling. It was indeed a worthy effort by rural talent to educate the masses on the perils of social evils, said Fr Joswy Fernandes, parish priest of St Lawrence parish, Moodubelle, near here.
Fr Fernandes was speaking after premiering Badk, Tulu tele-film that was produced by K K Productions of Moodubelle, near here, at St Lawrence Pre-University College auditorium, Moodubelle, here on Thursday April 24.
Speaking on the occasion, UNICEF – Prasad Bharati national award recipient director Prakash Suvarna Katpady said that the movie has message to youth who are going wayward in making fast bucks and to lead luxurious living in the guise of modernity, said Prakash.
Moodubelle – St Lawrence Pre-University College principal Fr Paul Sequeira, ZP member Ida Gilbert D’Souza, TP former president Devdas Hebbar, Belle gram panchayat president Rajendra Shetty were the chief guests present.
The cameraman Jason D’Souza Udupi, script writer Sandeep Udupi, co-director Geeta Naik, artistes Savita Salian Karje, Ashok Moodubelle, Baby Everal Riya Alva, Nita Suvarna Mangalore, Sanjeev Suvarna Katpady, Nagesh Acharya, Leeladar Kamat, Herald Wilson Martis, Ivan D’Almeida, Sridar Shettigar, Satish Kumar, Prashant Benal, Ravi Poojary Moodubelle, Karunakar Shetty Moodubelle, Sacchu Moodubelle and Sharat Bailoor were present.
Pundalika Marate, Jnanaganga Pre-University College principal V L Bhat and A G D’Souza participated in the discussions after the show.
The movie producer Anil Alva Moodubelle welcomed the gathering. The movie director Prabhakar Acharya delivered the introductory address. The artiste Sridar Shettigar proposed vote of thanks. Meera Lobo compered the programme.
