Mumbai, 24 Apr 2014: The second phase of LS polling in Maharashtra was held here on Thursday April 24 from 7.00am to 6.00pm. Despite the soaring temperatures, the voters including celebrities cast their votes in a peaceful voting, informed Madhukar Ardad, district electioneering officer at Bandra (East).
The former MLA and BJP candidate Gopal C Shetty contesting in this LS polls cast his votes along with his family at the polling center located at Jayabehen Kote School, Sai Baba Nagar, Borivali (West) here. Congress candidate Sanjay Nirupam is contesting as opponent in this election.
The state health minister Suresh H Shetty exercised his franchisee along with his wife Santoshi S Shetty at a polling center in his constituency Andheri (East).
Ville Parle (East) MLA Krishna S Hegde and his wife Leena Krishna Hegde exercised his franchisee at Parle Tilak Vidyalay.
The former MP and union minister Gurudas Kamat contesting as Congress candidate cast his vote also here.
Congress candidate Priya Dutt contesting in LS polls from Mumbai north central constituency cast her vote at the polling center located at St Ann’s School, Bandra (West). BJP candidate Poonam Mahajan is the opponent of Priya Dutt.
