Abu Dhabi: Solemn Easter celebrations held at St. Joseph’s Cathedral and Konkani Community

Abu Dhabi, April 21, 2014 :  A huge number of devotees of St. Joseph’s Parish in Abu Dhabi attended the Easter Vigil and Solemn Eucharistic Mass thereafter.  The vigil began with blessings of the fire and then lighting and blessings of the Pascal candle by HE Bishop Paul Hinder accompanied by deacon. 

The readings and homily was followed the Easter Vigil service.  A meaningful homily was delivered by Bishop and Rev. Fr. Savarimuthu proposed the vote of thanks.

 

 

 

 

 

The church choir provided a ambience atmosphere by singing melodious hymns throughout the grand ceremony.

Konkani Community Celebrates Easter

The Konkani community of Abu Dhabi celebrated Easter on Sunday evening which began with Konkani Mass by Rev. Fr. Valerian Fernandes.  A large number of Konkani parishioners attended the mass. 

Rev. Fr. Valerian in his meaningful homily highlighted importance of Easter.

HE Bishop Paul Hinder greeted the Konkani community during the celebrations.
