Bangalore, 13 Apr 2014: The metro’s Clarks Exotica Resort & Spa owned by famous NRI entrepreneur Ronald Colaco won the prestigious South India Travel Award for ‘Ultimate Service Award in Hospitality’ in Hyderabad on Thursday March 27.
Andra Pradesh tourism minister presented the award at the Radissson Hotel which was packed to capacity with several recipients of awards in different categories related to the travel and hospitality industry. Clarks Exotica was also featured in the ‘Collector’s Edition which was released by the tourism minister.
Clarks Exotica Resort & Spa projects director Nigel Colaco and vice president Balaji M received the award from the tourism minister on the occasion.
The award was started in the year 2005 with the initiative from ‘Incredible India’ and The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Association of India.
There were various other winners which included Philippines Tourism, airlines, airports and the like. Most of the awards went to the travel and hospitality sector.
The Clarks Exotica Resort & Spa have now followed up their high class hospitality activities which have been highlighted by their earlier award when the y received the 6th Golden Star Award in Mumbai in Feb. 2014. Before the Mumbai award, the hotel was awarded ‘Best Practices 2013’ award at the Hotel Park, Schonbrunn, Vienna in Austria on December 8, 2013 conferred by European Society for Quality Research, Switzerland. Earlier, the hotel won the most famous International Quality Summit 2013 award at the New York Mariott Marquis Hotel, New York on May 27, 2013, conferred by Business Initiative Directions, Madrid, Spain.
