Manaalore, 03 April 2014: Dakshina Kannada (DK) district minorities Commission president and Mangalore north MLA Moideen Bawa convened minority Commission meeting at Congress LS polls campaign office at Exotica, here on Thursday April 3.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Bava said that it’s during the Congress rule at both centre and Karnataka state, the party has strived for the welfare of minorities and as a president, he has implemented many schemes benefitting the community. He also helped to approve state funds for the renovation of churches, mosques, worship centers, said MLA Bava.
MLA Bava further said that he could convince the state government to establish Haj Centre near Bajpe airport, here and also acquired 2 acres of land for this purpose, assured MLA Bava.
Around 30 to 40 years ago, India was knows as poor country in Arab world. But due to continuous efforts by Congress government, India has emerged as world’s third largest economic power, emphasized MLA Bava.
MLA Bava urged Christians to submit their applications to state administration, seeking financial help for Holy Land pilgrimage.
