Mangalore, 28 Mar 2014: Mount Carmel Central School (MCCS), Mary Hill, here organized Kindergarten Convocation Day at school grounds on Friday March 28 morning.
The smart and tiny tots of UKG dressed in graduation robes and caps marched in a row, along with the chief guest Dr Leo Francis Tauro, general consultant and laparoscopic surgeon of Father Muller Medical College Hospital, his wife Lavina Tauro, MCCS joint secretary Sr Ida Barboza AC and principal Sr Melissa AC, accompanied by the school band.
The programme began with invocation by the UKG children followed by a welcome dance by LKG children. Shreyan Prasad of LKG-A welcomed the gathering. Sr Ivy Moras AC took over the charge to do the presentation of the little graduates, which was followed by the conferring of the graduation title by Sr Melissa.
Dr Tauro in his convocation address complimented the graduates on their achievements, also congratulated the teachers for their dedication and hard work in shaping the students through education and other co-curricular activities. Being a father of 2 boys who are the students of MCCS, Dr Tauro gave a few tips to the parents and teachers in training and bringing up the children. He said, ‘We need to teach the children the basic manners and teach them how to respect their elders, teachers and parents and that we need to train and bring up the children in all aspects - socially, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually,’ said Dr Tauro.
This was followed by the distribution of graduate diplomas to the tiny tots along with a photo-shot with their parents.
The formal programme concluded with music, dance and skit performed by LKG students, which was appreciated by the gthering.
At the end, 4 students of UKG - Steve, Nikitha, Rachael and Anvilla expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the management, principal and teachers in the form of vote of thanks. Ashwith Jennifer compered the programme.
It was indeed a joyous and memorable day to the little ones as they received their KG Graduation Day Diploma’s.
