Karkal: Kanajar Parish celebrates Titular Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes

Karkal, Feb 18, 2014 : The titular feast of Our Lady of Lourdes was celebrated at with utmost religious fervor at Kanajar parish, here recently.
 
Udupi diocesan Commission for social development director Fr Reginald Pinto celebrated the festal Eucharistic Celebration at Kanajar parish, here along with parish priest Fr John Mendonca and several clergies.

 

 
Earlier, Fr John Mendonca presented blessed candles to all the sponsors of festal celebrations.

 
Fr John felicitated parish council secretary Janet Menezes for her selfless service in parish affairs.

 

 

 

Fr Mendonca congratulated Ignatius who is serving as vice president of parish council for two terms and his wife Celestine D’Souza who served as vice president already for two terms.

 

 

Fr Mendonca urged the parishioners to emulate the ideals of both Ignatius and Celestine couple in rendering selfless service for the betterment of parish community.

Over 1,000 faithful were present on the occasion.
